BEGINNING SEPT 24
For the last year, Pastor Steve and the UALC education team have been working on a video series for small groups. This seven-episode video series is part of a new study series we will be rolling out over the next several years to help develop the Biblical and theological foundation of our church.
To participate in this series, begin the study with your small group and plan to join us for our new education hour beginning Sunday, Sept 24, at 4:30 pm at the Mill Run Campus, where we'll learn from this new video series along with a teaching from Pastor Steve. Register for education hour here. Childcare is available.
If you aren’t in a small group yet, sign-up here.
OVERVIEW
There’s a good chance you’ve heard the word Gospel before. And maybe you’ve noticed that people can mean pretty different things by it, even though they call them all “Gospel.” Some of those things are a lot more helpful than others.
If you’re curious about the Gospel of Jesus, if you wonder why Christians sometimes seem to be preaching different messages, if the Gospel has ever sounded like not very good news to you, or if you just want to grow in understanding Jesus’ message better, then we made this series for you.

Join a Group
Small groups are three or more individuals meeting together routinely in homes and rooms across the city. These groups are central to the relational life of UALC; where we can know and be known, love and be loved, and care and be cared for. In small groups we share our stories, struggles, and joys; our faith, questions, our time, and our support. We learn Scripture together and pray with and for each other. In small groups we rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn, and we are our first and best line of defense in caring for one another.

Become a Facilitator
We are always praying for more facilitators and training is on-going. If you would like to recommend someone as a small group facilitator, contact Dan Kidd.
New groups are forming regularly, and twice annually (in the Fall and Winter) we will have a small group launch campaign where we invite people who aren’t in a group to try one and we invite small group members to prayerfully consider facilitating a new group.
Service Opportunities
There are always ways to get involved and serve at church and in the community with your group. Check out our local serving opportunities here and get involved.
