Fulfilled: The Book of Hebrews
September-October
The book of Hebrews offers unique insight into the place of Christ in the Old Testament. We learn more about what it means that Jesus came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. And not coincidentally, we find our own lives fulfilled in him too. The gnawing emptiness inside us will look for satisfaction anywhere, but mostly we just find ourselves lost and longing for more. When we look for satisfaction in the gifts of Jesus Christ, all our deepest longings are fulfilled.
