Home Away from Home
September-October
This world is not my home. Or is it? Christians live under tension in this world. It’s a place of godly beauty and sinful pain, of gracious goodness and deep flaws. We make our homes in it while longing and living for a promised home of a better kind. The book of 1 Peter is addressed to God’s “elect exiles.” Can you hear the tension? We are chosen and loved and also displaced and weary. In this series we will hear the Word of God teaching us how to live for home when we’re not at home and how to follow Jesus in a world that doesn’t.
