Revelation bears a gift the Church needs in every age: solid hope for unstable times. Readers throughout history have wrestled with its meaning, and many have been famously wrong. Through all the controversy, Revelation has continued to speak its message of truth and power over and over again.

 

Revelation reveals what is really real. It lets us peek behind the curtain of history, tells the victory of the Lamb over every evil, and calls Christians to follow his way. In so doing, it has given hope and courage to those who need it, while at the same time threatening judgment for sin and calling for the repentance that leads to life. We are reading and learning from Revelation, so that we, too, can hear its message and be strengthened and directed to faith and hope in Jesus.
