Elementary

Elementary

The curiosity of kids abounds. They ask deep questions about the world and how it works; wanting to know their place, their purpose, and if their perception of this vast space is aligned with what is true. Our Kids Ministry team wants to partner with you to stoke the flames of these investigative sparks you see in your child. Kids Ministry at UALC provides a safe space for kids to engage with the message of the Gospel and find that it answers all their questions about who they are and how the world is meant to be.

Contact Melissa Davis, Kids Ministry Director, or Tonya Riedel, Kids Ministry Coordinator, for questions about anything related to Kids Ministry.

Kids’ Church

For K–5th graders

All of our Modern Worship Services offer Kids’ Church throughout the school year (Lytham Road 11:00 am, Mill Run 9:00 & 11:00 am). Kids’ Church content follows along with the Narrative Lectionary, as do our sermons, allowing for shared family conversations after the service each week.

On Small Group Sundays, kids are invited to join the service for gathered worship with their parent or guardian. Prior to the sermon, kids are dismissed to grade specific small groups to build deeper friendships and discipleship conversations. On the third Sunday of each month, kids are invited to our Rally Sunday — an exciting and kid-friendly parallel service that runs the entire worship hour.

Confirmation Updates

Over the last few years, the Next Generation Ministries team, along with Pastor Steve and Aaron, have taken some time to reflect on our church's Confirmation process and how we can best help students to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to be prepared for their faith walk after high school.

Recently some important information about Confirmation was sent out to our congregation. Please look at the document & video below for all the information regarding Confirmation 2023-2024.

Grow

As we pursue life with Jesus, we want to be more like Him by living with soft hearts, engaged minds, open hands, and whole spirits. UALC offers a variety of resources to support this growth, including organized Small Groups and ongoing Growth Workshops. Click Here to learn more

Small Groups

Small groups are three or more individuals meeting together routinely in homes and rooms across the city. These groups are central to the relational life of UALC; where we can know and be known, love and be loved, and care and be cared for. Visit ualc.org/smallgroups for more information.

Growth Workshops

Covering a wide range of topics, Growth Workshop meet us right where we need to mature and prepare us for what’s next in life. Families, individuals, and sometimes whole small groups participate in workshops from time to time to carve out space for phase-specific growth and faith conversations that may not happen otherwise.

Daily Worship - Time With God

The rhythms of our week shape the values in our homes. Between Sundays we worship God at home through studying the Bible, prayer, fasting, laughing with family, sharing a meal with a neighbor, or doing our best at work. Worshiping God with everything means that everything can be worship when we do for God’s glory with an awareness of His presence. Click on this link to access our Daily Bible readings and resources for your time with God.

Missional Living

We believe that our neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities are places where we have opportunity to join Jesus where He is at work in the lives of others, serving them and sharing the hope that is ours in Christ. Find more here.
