    Join us in weekly prayer as we all face challenges and hardship together Prayer SUBMIT A PRAYER REQUEST Current Weekly Prayer Requests Recovering at Home: Crystal Decker, Buff Delcamp A portion of our members with ongoing health needs: Judy Backoff, Andy Bell, Sandra Boyd, Louise Brauer, Keith Brown, Jaya Fever, Karen Henry Rejoice and mourn: We rejoice with Michael and Devon Reed at the birth of their twin daughters, Abigail and Isabell. The girls were born prematurely and we continue to pray for Isabell, who remains hospitalized. We mourn with the Reed family at the death of baby Abigail. Missions Trip: We pray for the team of adults and students who will be serving in our partner village in Honduras January 17-24, where they will work to develop relationships, serve one another, and build up the body of Christ. We pray for safe travel and good health, and that team members and the people of Honduras will experience the light and love of Christ. November 25, 2025 Give thanks to God for the bounty of the UALC Community Garden, which yielded 25,629 pounds of organic produce for our neighbors in need! November 19, 2025 Prayer for Tobin's back and neck pain that the pain's source will be healed and those pains will not become chronic November 10, 2025 Please pray for my student Angel who is struggling with behavior issues, anger and anxiety. Help him to take ownership and have a more positive attitude towards the school, friends, and adults trying to help him. November 10, 2025 Please pray for our Small Group as we support our sisters in Christ who have experienced the tragic loss and injury from a reckless driver in Florida. One member of our group lost her niece - newly engaged - to another members family friend and who was critically injured and hospitalized with a brain bleed. The families are devastated and grieving. We want to support them and are hurting for them. Thank you for keeping us in prayer and for Colin and Kristina's families. November 2, 2025 My daughter, Taylor H. and baby need prayer. She is 25 weeks pregnant, she has dilated 3 cm and has a small amniotic leak. Currently she is inpatient at Walter Reed Hospital in Maryland for duration of pregnancy. I am going this week to be with her for the weekend. Please pray for their health and for the pregnancy to continue without more complication. Pray for our peace. October 26, 2025 prayer for green card and for tenure October 26, 2025 Please pray for Thomas as he's struggling with rejections and mental health issues; for healing and comfort. Please pray over Megan's family for health, sleep, peace, kind friendships, and financial freedom; for mental healing, reliable friends, and thriving at work. Thank you, Amen! October 20, 2025 Please pray over my family for health and that my toddler sleeps through the night and falls back to sleep by himself if he wakes up; for job security and that God shines good light and grace on me and my job, that my coworkers and colleagues don't get jealous and hate me under current circumstances I'm in that is not in my control. October 19, 2025 Prayers for the villages of SW Alaska that suffered severe flooding from Typhoon Halong. 2 villages suffered terrible losses, but all of them are affected. Quinhagak, where we led mission trips for many years, has lost their water supply. Pray for peace & comfort for all of the people, especially those that displaced. October 14, 2025 Please pray for Jim G. who is in the hospital with some serious health issues. October 11, 2025 Please pray for Megan as she was told to be furloughed, but hopefully not losing her job; for health, peace, and blessings. Please pray for the right friendships to come to her that be her the gift of time, kindness, and comfort; for restoration of her body and spirit. Thank you, Amen! September 28, 2025 Sometimes I feel like I'm not meant to become anything big (make big impacts, have a voice, thrive), please pray that good things come my way, for God's empowerment so that I may heal, rise, and help others. Please pray for my family, for my child to sleep through the night, as I'm very tired; for my job to treat me well; for supportive and loving friendships at work and home as I feel so lonely at times. September 25, 2025 Please pray for Carey who at 51 will have valve replacement open heart surgery on October 14. Please pray for the days preceding that she will rest in our Father's presence, that the day of the surgeons and medical team will be guided by experience and care, and that she will recover without complication. We thank you Jesus for your part in seeing her and those of us who love her through this experience. September 18, 2025 With a weary heart as a working mom, please pray for me. I need miracles in my job, that I make impacts, and that I get promoted this year (my second time trying after 2 years). Please pray for my nephew Jayden's surgery on 9/19, for all to go well, safely, and quick recovery. Please pray for my mom's medical appointments, for health, healing, and comfort. Our relationship is very strained but I try to keep it going and checking up on her. It's another miracle in our lives that we need. Please pray for us. Thank you, thank you!! May God bless you! September 17, 2025 Please pray for my daughter-in-law who has been suffering postpartum depression and had to be sent back to the hospital after the birth of her son. Please pray for my son as he navigates caring for the baby and his wife. September 13, 2025 I work for a bank who is pressuring the employees to leave. I have been working for them 5 years. Now I am starting to look for a new job. I cannot buy food now and need to start selling my possessions. Pray for me to have strength. September 11, 2025 I had a chance to meet with a new hairstylist Vinh, perhaps intentional by God, he's working to take care of his family and 26 yrs old son who seems to be socially distanced and doesn't care to work. Please pray over his family and his son, that God miraculously moves his son's heart and restore his mind to be a responsible adult, for health and peace to their family. It was a good reflection moment for me that even though I am not where I want to be, God always blesses over my family and I. May God bless you and your family. Thank you!     Kids Ministry at UALC provides a safe space for kids to engage with the message of the Gospel and find that it answers all their questions about who they are and how the world is meant to be. Elementary UPCOMING EVENTS Elementary The curiosity of kids abounds. They ask deep questions about the world and how it works; wanting to know their place, their purpose, and if their perception of this vast space is aligned with what is true. Our Kids Ministry team wants to partner with you to stoke the flames of these investigative sparks you see in your child. Kids Ministry at UALC provides a safe space for kids to engage with the message of the Gospel and find that it answers all their questions about who they are and how the world is meant to be. CONTACT Kids' Church For PreK–5th graders All of our Modern Worship Services offer Kids’ Church throughout the school year. Kids’ Church content follows along with the Narrative Lectionary, as do our sermons, allowing for shared family conversations after the service each week. Mill Run has Kids' Church at both the 9:00 & 11:00 am services. Lytham Road has Kids' Church at 11:00 am. (Both campuses have PreK Kids' Church throughout the year.) On Small Group Sundays, kids are invited to join the service for gathered worship with their parent or guardian. Prior to the sermon, kids are dismissed to grade specific small groups to build deeper friendships and discipleship conversations. On the third Sunday of each month, kids are invited to our Rally Sunday — an exciting and kid-friendly parallel service that runs the entire worship hour. LEARN MORE First Communion Mill Run & Lytham Road Campus These classes are an opportunity for children and parents to explore foundational aspects of our purpose, preparation, and participation in communion. The class is divided into two parts. The first portion is crafted to equip parents for discipleship in the home. The second session of the class is a parent and child class, aimed at hands-on learning for elementary students. This second class has been designed with second and third graders in mind; however, children second grade and older are welcome to attend with a parent.
