Congregational Care Minister

Campus:

Central

Description

Congregational Care Ministers are trained volunteers who care for the body of Christ by visiting those who are homebound or in Care facilities and/or making hospital visits. CCMs have the opportunity to be a connection to folks who may feel disconnected from their church due to illness, mobility issues, or season of life. They pray with and for their fellow believers.

Desired Skills

A Congregational Care Minister displays empathy, compassion, listening skills and can be relatable to the elderly.

Time Commitment

For those assigned to visit someone who is homebound or in a Care Facility, the goal is to visit them at least one time each month. For those making hospital visits, the time varies, as assignments are on an as-needed basis. Visiting times are scheduled with the recipient of care and are flexible. Your time commitment to this role may vary month to month. You are welcome to start with one individual to care for and add additional recipients if your schedule permits.
