In His Image

Disability and Inclusion Ministry

At UALC, every individual, whether able-bodied or differently-abled, is embraced with warmth and recognized as a vital part of God's family. Through In His Image Ministries, we support and equip differently-abled members to partake in church activities, from worship, and service opportunities to Bible studies. Our support also extends to their families, understanding the unique challenges they face. Our goal is to create an environment where every member, regardless of their abilities, feels valued, has access, and a sense of belonging in our church family.

Worship Arts Team

Leading worship is far more than sharing musical talent. It is loving God back with every ounce of our being, and inviting others into experiencing God's love. Do you have a passion for this? Join our community as we seek to grow through a life of discipleship, and in our skills via workshops and trainings.

7 Day Bible Art Challenge

All artists are invited to participate in the UALC 7 Day Bible Art Challenge competition. Youth and adult artists have one week to create an artwork based on a passage from the Bible. Artwork is juried and cash prizes are awarded.

Beacons Quilting for Missions

Join the Beacons quilting ministry. Contact the church office, 614-451-3736.

Quilt Ministry

As believers who quilt, we pray, work to improve our skills, and encourage one another to complete projects. We also sew quilts together for causes such as US military personnel and Habitat for Humanity.

For 2025, we are partnering with Lutheran World Relief to make quilts for people around the world. Ways to help:

  1. Donate cotton fabric (12" blocks or yardage)

  2. Sew a quilt top from a 48-piece kit and return as soon as possible or by July 1.

  3. Help at the "Tie One On" event on August 9 where we'll assemble, sandwich, and tie the quilts.

  4. If you are a Thrivent member, contact Cheryl for a donation opportunity.

All donations and quilts should be dropped off at the Mill Run Ministry Exchange Center no later than July 1.
