     Worship at Mill Run

Worship is a verb. It's what we do. What we were created to do. (Isaiah 43:7) When we worship we declare God’s goodness (1 Chronicles 16:23-31) and devote ourselves to God in faith (Exodus 20:1-6).

At UALC we want to be people who worship God with everything we have - heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:29-30). Worship like this transforms our desires, character and beliefs. Worshiping God helps to form Christ in us. (Galatians 4:19)

We plan and lead weekly services where people can encounter Jesus and respond to him in faith. Some weeks that means overflowing joy for all he has done. Other weeks that means broken hearts, confessing sin and asking to be renewed. Every week we are joining together to praise God for who he is, to hear the Good News of God's Word, to respond in faith and to go into our weeks joining in his mission.

But you can't love God with everything you've got, once a week. Worship is an everyday, every hour kind of thing (Romans 12:1-2). Between Sundays we worship God through prayer, fasting, studying the Bible, laughing with our kids, sharing a meal with a neighbor or doing our best at work. Worshiping God with everything means that everything can be worship. But that doesn't just happen—most of us find that some daily practices help us encounter Jesus each day, and allow us to spend our days responding to him in faith.
When you visit, we offer you as much anonymity as you desire so you can evaluate whether or not UALC is a place you want to settle down. We want to help you find what you are looking for, whether it's at our church, or even somewhere else. To do this we hope you will take the initiative and let us know you were our guest by filling out a Connect Card found at the Connect Center in the lobby, or here with our online Connect Card. You will not be asked to stand or distinguish yourself in any way, but we are very excited you are here and would love a chance to get to know you.
