UALC Preschool and KindergartenFor over 40 years, we have offered high quality, part-time programs for 3-, 4-, 5- year-olds. Children experiment, investigate, create and discover in an environment based on Christian values. Information, registration and class descriptions. NurseryWe welcome children, ages 3 months to 3 1/2 years, into our nursery on Sunday mornings, and during the week for scheduled events. Children play and are nurtured by our trained, CPR certified staff and begin to form early friendships with other children of UALC. Download our Parent Handbook for details about our ministry. Next Step Workshops are the fundamentals of following Jesus designed around a child's developmental phase of life. They prepare parents and kids to grow and live in the Christian faith. Parents will be encouraged and equipped as the primary former of faith to take it home and live it out with their children. Here are the workshops for preschool families:
Baptism Workshop
A Next Step Workshop - offered the first Sunday of the month
For parents with children of all ages. Learn God’s plan and strategies for passing faith on to children. Hear UALC’s strategy for partnering with families throughout all the phases from birth to college. Prepare for your child's baptism by participating in this workshop. Workshops are on the first Sunday of every month, 12:00-1:00 pm at alternating campuses. Lunch is provided; find details on location, and register here. A Next Step Workshop For parents and children newborn to two years old. This is a great workshop to come to after you have gone through our Baptism workshop. You'll find this to be both encouraging and useful as you set aside time to think through parenting and spiritual growth. It's not too early for your baby to know they are loved by Jesus. A Next Step Workshop - offered Fall, 2019 Parenting a 3-5 year-old is full of unique challenges and opportunities. At this workshop, preschool and children's ministry staff will share practical insight and useful tips for raising children at this phase of life. Offered once a year at each campus. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)Provides social, physical, spiritual and creative opportunities for moms with young children - birth through kindergarten. On the first and third Tuesdays of the month, 9:00-11:15 am, Sept. 18, 2018–May 14, 2019, at Lytham Road. Early Bird Rate is $115 until September 18, 2018. Dues for the year are $125. Play-N-Praise (18 months - 3 years)For toddlers and an accompanying adult. We have many large muscle activities, an art project, singing and praising our heavenly Father at circle time and a parade. Offered various times during the year. Kelly Mikhail, kmikhail@ualc.org.
AWANA® ClubsFor children beginning at age 3. We teach about the Bible and train kids to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Children earn uniforms and use workbooks at home. Club meets during the school year. More information. New children are always welcome. Contact awana@ualc.org.
Vacation Bible SchoolIt's a five-day, fun-filled adventure for preschool-elementary age children. Every June since 1979, kids have come for singing, drama, games, crafts, service projects and teaching about Jesus. More information. Andrea Taphorn, ataphorn@ualc.org, 614-451-3736, ext. 4687.
Safeguarding ChildrenAll volunteers age 18 and over who work with children must go through the Safeguarding Children verification process and be issued an orange badge. Information and online application .
Consent and Waiver FormAll parents, or guardians, of children and youth must complete the Consent and Waiver Form to participate in UALC events and programs. Fill out the simple form online here.
