AWANA Clubs®

Preparing kids to faithfully follow Christ for a lifetime.

What is Awana?

Awana features games, stories, songs and awards. A little like Scouting, boys and girls earn uniforms to wear to club and work at home with their families in workbooks to learn Bible verses and complete activities. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, from 2 Timothy 2:15. Find out about Awana® International.

When do we meet and what are the age groups?

We meet on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 pm at Mill Run during the school year, starting September 20, 2017. We have three clubs:
     •  Cubbies: Age 3–Pre-Kindergarten (parents must stay on site)
     •  Sparks: Kindergarten-Grade 2
     •  Truth & Training (or T&T): Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6

What happens at an Awana meeting?

We have three activities each night: Game Time, Large Group Time and Handbook Time. Clubbers play games, recite and discuss Bible verses they have learned, and learn how to live a Christian life. They also earn rewards for dressing in their uniform and for the week’s theme. For more details, download the Parent Handbook here.

How do I register my child and what are the fees?

There are annual dues of $15 (mid-year) to participate, along with a $15 uniform fee if needed. Uniforms may be worn for several years if the Clubber doesn't advance into another age bracket. Please don't let money deter you from participating. Inquire if payments plans on scholarship might be available by emailing

How can I help?

Want to experience something fulfilling and rewarding? Volunteers are needed to lead large group sessions, listen to children recite Bible verses, lead small group studies, help with set up and clean up, and assist with special events. If you have a heart for kids (or know someone who does) and value them getting a Christian education, click HERE to apply to be a volunteer. You can also help by being a prayer warrior for our group and donating to UALC to sponsor Clubbers who couldn’t afford to come otherwise.
