Celebrate Recovery Christian 12-Step Program

Celebrate Recovery®

Hope is found here. Find out what healing can be with Jesus.

What is Celebrate Recovery®?

A Biblically-based 12-step program that:
  • Is designed for both those who struggle with addiction, and their family members
  • Follows the traditional 12-step program, adding the Biblical comparison for each step
  • Uses eight recovery principles based on the Beatitudes
  • Uses sponsors and accountability partners

  • Celebrate Recovery meets Thursdays at Mill Run

Join us on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. We get together before the meeting at 6:30 for fellowship and coffee and stay after until 9:00 to visit and support one another. Childcare is available from 6:45-8:45 pm.

    Who is Celebrate Recovery for?

This ministry isn’t just for alcoholics and drug addicts and for the people who love them, but for you and for me during certain seasons in our lives.

Perhaps you know someone who is hurting because of a death or maybe a miscarriage; possibly there is someone you know who is struggling in his or her marriage; having a problem with children or struggling with depression. Celebrate Recovery can offer hope to them. It is during our seasons of uncertainty that we need to be Jesus to each other.

What's the difference between Celebrate Recovery and other 12-step programs?

Celebrate Recovery is like many 12-step programs, but views each step from a Biblical perspective. This recovery program is forward-looking. Rather than wallowing in the past, or dredging up and rehearsing painful memories over and over, Celebrate Recovery focuses on the future.

Celebrate Recovery is recognized by the court system as a 12-step recovery program. To download a descriptive brochure about Celebrate Recovery with a map to the Mill Run campus, click here.

What is a Celebrate Recovery meeting like?

We meet on the lower level in room 1017. At 6:30 pm we join for fellowship and coffee. At 7:00, our band will lead us in praise and worship and we'll listen to a teaching or personal testimony. Then at 7:45, we break up into small discussion groups. These small groups are gender-specific and issue-related.

    How can I begin?

For more information, e-mail cr@ualc.org or call 451-3736, ext. 7317, where you can leave a confidential voice mail.
