Our Core Values

UALC exists for God and the people He loves – those already here and those with whom He will bring us into contact. We celebrate vital worship, value Bible-based teaching, and share in vibrant programs and events. But most of all we seek to live in and for Jesus. We pray for hearts rekindled with Holy Spirit fire for evangelism. And we strive to connect with the communities and cultures in which God has placed us. We are affiliated with the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) and Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). 

 

We are made for and even commanded to delight in God: "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4).

Worship is giving to God the honor and praise that are His due. And true worshipers are what He desires: "Yet a time is coming and now has come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks" (John 4:23).

We are created for God's glory and we are called to live for His glory. When God is our treasure, delight, and satisfaction, then He is honored and His glory is held up. So the command to delight in Him, to worship Him, is both for our good and for His glory.

The community of UALC is people who desire to wholeheartedly respond in adoration to our great, good God.
