Weekly UALC Prayer Requests

We corporately lift up prayer requests each week. Join us as we come before our Father with petitions and praises. We welcome anyone to join our group who prays regularly for the needs of the church. You can sign up here and receive the weekly prayer request by email.
This week, December 2-December 8, remember to pray for:
• Giving Tuesday; Dec. 3 is designated as a day for people to give donations, time or goods to kick off the charitable season. Pray for local people or organizations (like IFI or SON Ministries) who need financial help to thrive.
• Women’s Bootcamp; pray for this weekend (Dec. 5-8) that women will be refreshed and renewed as the Lord speaks to each heart. The focus will be from the book “Captivating” by Stasi Eldridge – learning who God intends us to be and the spiritual battle for our hearts. Ministry Leaders are Amy Adams and Peggy Valentino.
• Christmas for Internationals; pray for the students who will hear, perhaps for the first time, the Biblical story of the birth of Jesus this Friday at The Christmas for Internationals event. Ask that Gospel seeds take root. Team Leader is Jerry Cable.
• Advent Worship at UALC; pray for our combined worship with choirs at our Lytham Road campus only this Sunday (12/8) at 9, 11 am and 2 pm. Pray for the many details that need to come together. Most importantly ask for God’s presence to be strong and He be glorified and honored.
• Helping Appalachian Rural People (HARP); pray for this ministry at they distribute Christmas stockings and gift baskets to residents of southeastern Ohio. Pray that the love of Jesus shines forth.
• Ask the Holy Spirit to open our hearts to God’s Kingdom, power and His glory.
“When you are in the dark, listen, and God will give you a very precious message.” -Oswald Chambers
Last week, November 25-December 1, remember to pray for:
• Thanksgiving Day; Thank God for our country that has an official Day of Thanksgiving. Pray for our worship services this Wednesday night and Thursday morning that an overwhelming spirit of gratitude to God would fill our gatherings.
• Give prayers of thanks in concentric circles from yourself to the world.
Thank God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for His presence.
Thank God He has drawn you to Himself and is creating the life of Christ in you.
Thank God by name for your immediate and extended family.
Thank God for UALC, its leadership, staff, Ministry Leaders and members.
Thank God for your neighbors, your city, our state, nation and the cultural and social issues of the world.
Thank God for missionaries, the wider Church around the world, especially the suffering Church.
• Advent Season; It begins this Sunday. Pray for us to have grace to hold excessive busyness, worry, consumerism and frustrations at bay. Ask for a daily focus on Christ during this season leading to Christmas.
• Christmas for Internationals; pray for this event on December 6 co-sponsored by UALC and International Friendships. International students and immigrants will be welcomed warmly, served food and beautiful music, and hear about the true meaning of Christmas.
• Ask the Holy Spirit to teach us how we can resist the devil and his evil work.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  (1 Thess. 5:18)
Thank you for praying!
