Small Groups at UALC

Get Connected into a Small Group

In small groups, we learn about life and living by the example of our Christian friends, and grow in faith by walking alongside someone who needs support and encouragement. A small group is a Disciple-Making tool that offers a social outlet, an emotional connection, and spiritual support. We can expect to grow spiritually, and form bonds with others who love Jesus, too. We call it Discipleship. Contact Judy Webb, jwebb@ualc.org for more information.

Connect and Grow Groups and Resources

New small groups are geared to our busy lifestyles, offered in sessions, as short-term commitments. Connect and Grow Groups differ from on-going small groups in that they are offered as topic-specific opportunities to connect. They run short-term. It's a trouble-free way to join a small group, and one to which you can feel comfortable inviting your neighbor or friend.  We also offer resources for you to do within a small group:

Financial Peace University will be starting up again September 17 at 6:30 pm at Mill Run.  FPU is a nine-week series where you'll learn how to manage your finances and prepare for your future; be it family, education or retirement. In the recent session, families paid off an average of $7,269 of debt (excluding mortgage) and increased their savings by an average of $2,553. Offered at various times during the year. The next session is on Sundays, 6:30-8:15 pm at Mill Run, Sept. 17-Nov. 12. Register here.

Grandparents Small Group is beginning this Fall at Lytham Road. If you are a grandparent, and would like to meet with others in a small group setting, you are invited to an informational meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 4, 9:30-11:00. The group will continue meeting every 1st and 3rd Wednesday. Contact Christine Thompson, christinejthomp@gmail.com.

Discover Class is where you learn about Spiritual Gifts and what Scripture says about them. Then discover your own gifts, learn why they are important and what to do with them. Classes will be offered October 1, 8, and 15 at 10:30 am at Mill Run, and will be taught by Terry Starr.
