Short-Term Mission Trips
UALC offers mission trip opportunities through its partnerships with mission organizations. Participants are responsible for their own expenses, but will be given fundraising ideas. Contact the trip organizer for details, or e-mail missions@ualc.org.
Trips coming up in 2012:
Each year UALC sponsors short-term mission trips to the following areas: Alaska, China, Honduras, Haiti and locally. Each trip has at least one specific focus, such as medical outreach, children's camp, or construction. Here is what's coming up:
Hilliard, Ohio, June 11-August 10, 2012
Hilliard Free Summer Lunch Children's Ministry
One-week (minimum) local mission trip with SON Ministries at the Hilliard Free Summer Lunch program. Form a group of 3-10 adults or youth plus chaperones for a week of cross-cultural/cross-socioeconomic children's ministry. Run recreation programs, serve lunch, pray for the children, then end the day with a teaching on cross-cultural Christian missions.

China, June 14 - 26, 2012
Children's Ministry
Serve at an orphanage for children with special needs. Including running Vacation Bible School activities and meeting various needs of the orphanage.

Haiti, July 6 - 15, 2012
Summer Camp
Provide camp programs for children at Institution Univers in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. Including a morning Vacation Bible School and afternoon activities for children in grades K-12. Cost is $375 per person (meals, lodging) plus airfare and other misc. expenses. Application and trip deposit deadline is April 1. Alaska, July 16 - 25, 2012
Vacation Bible School and Basketball Camp
Serve the people of Quinhagak, Alaska through Vacation Bible School, basketball, and community outreach activities. Approximate cost is $1900/person. Application deadline was February 28. Team leaders will also serve in Atmautlluak, Alaska, July 9-14.

Southeast Ohio, July 22-July 27
Construction Camp
Serve the poor close to home. A new project oriented mission trip includes youth and adults in Caldwell, Ohio. Approximate cost is $80/person which includes transportation and food.

Surgical and Village Care
A surgical team served in the village of Canchias. The village care team, including medical and construction traveled to a small village for medical clinics and to build homes.
