David White Called as Pastor

Last Sunday we held a special congregational meeting to consider the ordination and call of David White as a Pastor of UALC. We are excited to announce the congregation unanimously voted to call and ordain  David. The ordination service will be on the afternoon of Sunday, September 10. More details to follow.

Launch Out Vision Sunday

Mark your calendar for August 13, as we come together for a combined all-UALC service at Mill Run as we celebrate how God has moved through the last 60 years of our church’s history, give our thanks as He continues to bless and use our church today, and praise Him for the vision He has revealed to us for the future. We are excited to worship Him as ONE CHURCH, and hope you’ll pray as we prepare to come together in unity. Following the 10:30 am service at the Mill Run Amphitheater, we will come together for our “Back At It” End-of-Summer Celebration! Find all the details here.

Without Borders Conference – Sept. 29-30

At Mill Run, we're hosting a conference presented by Crescent Project on Sept. 29-30 with a Women's Conference and a Men's Track. The conference for women includes teachings, workshops, and testimonies that will equip you to comfortably build new friendships with Muslim women and sensitively share your faith. In the Men's Track, discover the "Why" and "How To" of sharing with Muslim neighbors, friends and co-workers. Find details and registration for both at Contact Dave Mann,

Bags for the Nations

Help prepare Welcome Gift Bags to be handed out to 1,200 new international college students. Donate travel tissues packs, yellow highlighters, granola bars, hand sanitizer (1 oz size), or Tic Tac® breath mints at the International Friendships, Inc (IFI) booth in the Lytham Road or Mill Run lobbies during July. Senior Adult In-Town Mission Trips

Fill backpacks for school supplies for needy kids with God’s Hygiene Help Center, Tuesday, August 1, 9:00 am at Mill Run. Continental Breakfast included. Donations appreciated. Contact or Pastor Jeff Morlock,

Ladies of the Club

School Supply Drive

Many families struggle to afford school supplies for their students. UALC is collecting items to be distributed in Hilliard, the Linden neighborhood and Southeast Ohio to help these families. Back-packs and all basic supplies needed. If you’d prefer we do the shopping for you, pre-bundled kits will be available for a donation. Donate between July 1 and August 13. Women of the Word Summer Study

Meet for a video Bible teaching, pray, and discuss with other women as you grow in your understanding of the Christian faith. The Summer Study is “What Makes You Happy,” an Andy Stanley series for women and teens. No fee, homework, or registration. Each video stands alone; come to one, or come to all. UALC College

Join us for a relaxing time of hanging out with old and new friends. Newly graduated high schoolers and current college-age students are welcome. You’ll be refreshed by the delicious dinner, prayer and discussion time. The group meets each Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 pm, through July 26 at Joe and Sue Caruso’s home in Upper Arlington. School Supply Giveaway in Linden

Volunteers are needed to help God’s Hygiene Help Center give away school backpacks, serve lunch and supervise a bouncy house. Students in need who helped clean up litter on their street will receive a free school backpack. Saturday, August 19, 12:00–2:00 pm at Cremeans Park, 3146 Maize Rd. Contact

Volunteers and Donations Needed

The Hilliard Free Lunch Summer Camp works to help children out of poverty. Volunteer your time or donate non-perishable food and water. Find a food donation list in the lobby or click here for a list of requested donations, and drop donations off in the Mill Run Exchange Center. Go to and click on "Volunteer Now." Student Led HSM

In the summer, we give control of our weekly high school meetings over to high school leaders to plan, lead games, greet and to teach. Community Garden is Growing

The Community Garden at Mill Run supplies fresh produce for individuals and families through many partnerships in the surrounding area. Join us for weekly work parties. We’d love to add you to our weekly emails and keep you updated on what’s happening in the garden. No experience needed and all ages welcome. Help for Healing

Celebrate Recovery is a Christian 12-Step pro-gram which focuses on healing our Hurts, Habits, and Hang-ups. Our meeting includes a praise and worship time, a testimony or teaching and gender specific small groups. Thursdays, 7:00 pm at Lytham Road. Details at

Donate to the Clothes Shop Ministry

We are still accepting gently used linens, clothes, shoes and accessories. The clothes are being sent to Salvation Army, Southeast Ohio - HARP (Helping Appalachian Rural People) and New Life Lutheran church in Gallipolis. Drop off bins located at Mill Run and Lytham Road. Contact Cathy Shaw, 


Alpha will be offered in multiple forms this fall so that you have options on how to share the Gospel with your friends, family, neighbors and fellow workers. We will again offer an evening Alpha at Mill Run and a daytime Alpha at Lytham Road. The Alpha DVDs will be available for use by small groups and individuals for home use. Training is available. Community Bible Study and Prayer Group

This in-depth, inter-denominational, adult Bible Study provides a combination of personal study, small-group discussion with prayer and large-group wrap up as we study the Gospel of Luke.
